Hey Bulldogs! Time passes so quickly and we're already halfway through the semester! To keep the semester exciting and vibrant, MASA is thrilled to host Pasar Malam once again, this time with different and diverse choices of food, more fun games and activities!
The word Pasar Malam is a Malay word that literally means "night market". It is a common and popular culture in Malaysia where people gather at a venue with collection of stores that usually sell a variety of goods such as local favorite snacks and dishes, clothes, accessories, toys and home appliances. It usually takes place in the evening/night, usually in residential neighborhoods.
MASA is proud to bring Pasar Malam to Drake students and community this fall by recreating the environment and ambience of a Malaysian night market. There will be delicious Malaysian snacks and food for sale, games and activities such as poker, mahjong, henna and more! There will also be sales of trinkets and handmade goods at affordable prices!
