The East Coast Festival (ECFest) 2015 is the region’s first ever Malaysian festival of its nature. It is a collective student effort by Malaysian Students Associations at Penn State University (Penn State Malaysian Students Club), Drexel University (Drexel University Malaysian Students Association (MSA), the Malaysian Students’ Debate Club (MSDC) and US East Coast Presidential Council (US.EPIC) with the backing and support of Education Malaysia Washington D.C. It was officiated by the Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Khairy Jamaluddin.
The weekend festival consists of three major components; East Coast Games, Debat Piala YB Menteri Belia dan Sukan and Battle of the Bands and it was held at Penn State University on the 6th to 8th March 2015.
